The World Man's Handball Championship is held annually in Bangkok, Thailand. The tournament consists of teams from all around the world and every year the competition gets more ferocious as the teams battle to win the title for the world's strongest team. Each team consists of players with different strengths and weaknesses, making it very tough for them to win the championship. But with enough training and hard work, any team can become a contender and get to the World Men's Handball Championship. Teams have to abide by a certain code of conduct and rules, which makes the tournament even more exciting.
The tournament was originated in 1997 when a young man from Russia began the tournament as a means of having a fantastic time with friends. Since that time, the tournament has grown to become a major event and draws large crowds to watch. Each team wears the uniform in colours of their team and sponsors marks. This shows that the players are truly dedicated to their sponsors.
The tournaments are played on an artificial court that's two feet wide and six feet length. Whoever has the most points at the end of the established time period wins the championship. However, there are other criteria that a team must meet in order to win the championship.
Each team must play a minimum of 3 games each week. Each game is played for 2 hours. Each group has only ten days to play during the entire competition. When the tournament is over, the championship is decided and a winner is announced.
To get to the championship, a team must first get a qualification. A qualification can come in the kind of winning a game or placing in the top three at the World Cup. In years past, countries that qualified for the championship were those with the best players. Currently, qualifying for the championship requires a team to have a certain number of wins. Regardless of what the team's record is at the time the tournament starts, if it wins a championship in any of its tournaments that year, it automatically qualifies for another one.
Every year, the World Men's Handball Championship is played in various countries. This means that the championship is up for change each year also. There are a few countries that don't play each year so that the World Men's Handball Championship will have to be performed elsewhere.
